Sassy

Well, the forecast has changed a bit - just rain tonight, tomorrow & tomorrow night - otherwise partly sunny to sunny & in the 60's for Thanksgiving into next week - it's only barely sprinkled so far tonight...

Well, Red, someone has to do it...  since I work part-time, I figure it give the full time workers a little break...  usually holidays are pretty nice to work - people seem to be in better spirits even if they have to be at work or are sick & have to come into the ER.  I've worked quite a bit of the holidays for going on 19 yrs...

Besides, it does pay well  ::)   c*

A light dusting of snow fell early this morning with temp's at the freezing point.  1-2" expected this afternoon and tonight.  Weekly forecast is more of the same for the remainder of the week with the high of 32-34F.

John_C

About the same here in N GA.

Of course my water pump chose yesterday to quit.  I just finished installing a new pressure switch.  Sometimes the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" frame of mind will bite you.  I've known for some time that the 12 yr old switch was on short time. Being too stupid, lazy, cheap to fix it when the weather was good I got to do it in the cold & wet.  At least I'm back in the 20th century... indoor plumbing.

Foggy, drippy, rainy, drippy, foggy 40 - 50 degrees.  Ships moaning out in the Straits.  Squadrons of Canadian Geese bursting through the fog then disappearing again.  Honking to illustrate the Doppler effect.  Love it.

Sort of makes you glad you got your roof on when you did doesn't it. ;D

Low to mid 60's for the next week.  d*

It has actually warmed up overnight.  At 11PM it was 10F and this morning it went to 16F.  The rest of the week forecast doesn't look to good with snow predicted the rest of the week and temps not to get above 30F.  I can handle the temps but any freezing rain or snow I could do without.

Cold snap here....

Currently 46f out.       [cold]

Generally we are a bit warmer than this at our elevation of 2910 feet, and the lows are usually about 5 to 10 degrees warmer here due to rising valley heat influence in our micro-climate.

Shoot Glenn that is almost springtime weather.  I started a fire at 8:30 A in the cabin which was 23F inside.  By 3:00 Pm it had raised to 41F.  That was as good as I got it in that period of time.

Here we go... it was trying to snow when we left the mountains at 2:30 this afternoon. The red patch on the map is where our cabin is.

I guess we'll find out this coming weekend what actually happened.  :-\

Down here on the mesa it dropped to 23 with a high yesterday of 49. 31 right now.

Redoverfarm

Heatwave here.  High of around 52.  Yes I don't know where it came from.  But it is short lived as they are calling for temp's to drop and freezing rain.  Guess what I did today?

Yesterday I got up and decided to let the fire die down since it was predicted to be in the mid 40's-50.  I needed to clean the ashes out of the stove and clean the flue.  That's the first time in 1-1/2 months that the stove hasn't been fired 24 hours.  All I had was a 40' wooden extension ladder (heavy) to use as the other one was on the mountain.  So I elicited the assistance from the Duetz.  I had already installed the snowplow so I had to take it off and low and behold the front tire was flat.  Well what started out to be a 30 minute job turned out to be 2-3 hours.  But it is now done.  Anyway they are predicting 100% snow tonight with temps around 25F

glenn kangiser

57F out this morning, but snow is on the way... I told you guys to keep it back east.  d*
