I normally try to avoid crowds, stay away from towns and cities and keep my distance when I do go somewhere, because I just don't have much immune system anymore because of the diabetes.

It's General Assembly season though and I'm there at least 3 days out of the week. It was just a matter of time before I caught something and I did last week.

Yesterday my fever had gotten to 104 according to Jane, but it broke last night and I feel like I've been in 20 round hatchet match and lost mine in the first round.

Hope you regain your strength quickly
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Yeah it's been a wicked crud this year. We got it from our mason who's wife teaches little germ distribution units. Talked to the homies the other night and it is running thru the RTP as well. Amazing how fast that stuff gets around.

Vitamin D is critical for a well functioning immune system

At the UW hospital they use 2 of our instruments to run Vit D concentration on patients -- these run 24/7 -- most people are severely deficient in Vit D especially during winter (less sunlight)

helps to grow back bone mass too

I have been taking Vit D for the last couple months and so far not gotten more than a sniffle over in a day or less (knock on wood  d* )

I had Jane buy Vitamin D today. It won't help with this one but maybe keep from another performance.
Turned out the fever breaking was just temporary. It came back and didn't come down until today.
This is some nasty stuff.

Hope you start feeling better, Peter, doesn't sound like nice stuff.

So far we've kept healthy - we both started to get a sore throat but inhale aerosolized hydrogen peroxide.  I also take Vit D3 (4000 units) day & kick it up to 6000 if I think I'm starting to get something.  Haven't been sick in years really - slight colds/little cough - oh yeah, I did get a mild cough for a few days last year right after my back surgery when some friends came over w/their little kids - Love your name for them, Don P...  "germ distribution units"  [rofl2]  But otherwise we stay pretty healthy.

Last time I got really sick was 14 yrs ago - that was the last time I got a flu shot   d*

Ha!
I'll give you germ distribution units....Politicians and city people. Mix all those germs from the city people with the hot air from the politicians and you have a weapon of mass destruction! >:( >:(
