read a great article about how some countries are banning GM foods and the way that they coat the seeds for corn specifically with pesticides.

This has been shown in studies to correlate exactly with the massive bee exterminations. France and now Germany have moratoriums in place against these practices.

It is scary to think that they are putting the poisons into the seeds of our food to repel insects... Our food is poison and the bees die because they pollinate our food..

We should be scared half to death... $:-\$

Over the next few years I'm planning to shift us more to home grown and raised food. I doubt I can get us to 100% but 80% would be good.

Some said the end of the Mayan Calendar - others say a recycle of the Mayan calendar will start - and other events having to do with the universe.

I think I'll just sit back and wait and see.

well I worry if we will get to 2012...we cannot handle another 4 years of starting wars...we need to get out of Iraq and leave Iran and Russia alone..It is not our job to police the world...We simply cannot afford to live this way.

4 more years of business as usual will be apopoliptic in my opinion

In the history of the world there's always been a dominant force, the policeman if you will. At times there have been two forces, engaged in hot or cold wars, or something in between.

Without a policeman what would the world be like? Does anyone really believe that all countries will behave properly, respect each other, and so on?

Oh, you say the UN is the world's policeman. Ha! The UN is ineffective at best.

Who would make a better world's policeman? Would you rather have China, or Russia, maybe North Korea or Iran?
