Do you have a photobucket account?  If not, go to photobucket.com and sign up :)  Then upload there and it will give you links to post here.

Very cool area you guys are in. I like the view. Whats the altitude?

robojo

We are about 7200 ft. we are just off hwy 89, Zion is about 40 miles so. and  Bryce canyon is to the north. the pic. with the quads is Dixie national forest about 2 miles to the north .
we love the area, and the people  are great. when we were putting up the porch one Neighbor drove his tractor up and wanted to start clearing the area for us but we wanted to leave it natural for now, it was the first time we met him,he had us at his cabin about an hour later to meet his wife.
Now the fun starts with dare I say PERMITS.

MountainDon

Very nice area. My favorite 4 wheeling area is a little east, between Blanding and Lake Powell
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

TheWire

Beautiful area.
Without the posts extending into the ground, it looks like your shelter needs diagonal bracing to prevent damage from the wind.  Will you be enclosing this or adding bracing?

robojo

Ya, we are adding to it. We will be adding decking. it dose get windy up there. dose anyone know anything about the wind turbines ? just the little ones 400w

robojo

OK its been a sometime since I posted. the patio made it though the winter and it was a heavy winter they still have snow off hwy 14 by the brianhead turn off.
now getting ready to start building a cabin, now that the water right are almost done after 2 yrs!

I got  an outdoor shower built that I can fit in that will be nice, wont be sleeping with the dog this year.
and got the flag pole up just in time for the 4th of july, we are having a party with about 40 people up I told them to bring tools but dont think they heard me. haha

what did you build for your shower?  i'm working on a 'water system' to use while i camp on my land for the next few years... hoping to catch rain for showers and drinking.
