Hello all

I am back all a rather long rest period. here is my question/problem. I am installing a metal balcony on 2nd floor small home the home has vinyl siding.
The measurements for the balcony were all taken before the siding was installed, so I know where beams./2x6 struts and supports beams are. Balcony is in excess of 100 lbs, but now that I am at the point where I can install the Balcony my question is what is the best way to handle this situation, and yes I realize now that the balcony should have been put up before the siding ( my mistake ) but what should I do now. I have not ruled out hiring out this job, but even a contractor may have problems with this. putting pressure on vinyl will crack it especially northern Ontario and wall supports will probable leak. Any and all suggestions will help.

Thank you

As difficult as it may be I believe there is no safe method other then to remove or cut away thevinyl siding in the positions where thebalcony needs to be secured to the frame of thebuilding.  The weight of the balcony is not the issue as much as is the load, the number of people, BBQ grilles, etc.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

The Balcony is such that it is just for protection it only sits out from the wall less than 1 foot it is decorative but also stops anyone from falling out
but you are correct it does need to be secure I am just wondering if it makes sense removing the vinyl siding from the peak of the roof down to where the balcony
will sit and than reinstall the siding after balcony is installed.

You do not have to remove the siding above the area addressed.  You can just remove the portion that you need to.  They make a tool (most big box store) to release the joint, take out he nails on the top part and set aside.  Make your addition, cut the particular siding to fit and reattach.  This is done in the industry all the time to repair just damaged sections.
