Your project is looking really sharp! My husband and I ordered the same plan, all of your pictures are very helpful for visualizing ideas for our own project. You sure must feel good looking at your lovely family, all of you working togather for your dream.  Good job :)

I really have not set anything in stone yet on the "finished" interior, everytime I have made up my mind about something on this cabin someone will post an update changing my mind.....

as far as the footprint, it will be in a T shape, but only time will tell.
Also nathan, I am very impressed with your work!...good luck

Adrienne and I started the front side of the roof today, we are starting to get a routine down.
by the time we perfect it the roof will be finished.

the roof is looking great!  I understand what you say about " by the time we get it down i twill be done", I feel that way about almost everything Ive done on mine so far d*  If you have any tips about what has helped you along the process in roofing I would love to hear it as Im gearing up to tackle mine soon.  Your roof slope appears to be a 12/12 (same as mine), thats what I fear will be most challenging

The scaffolding has been the best tool so far, also we are putting a punch mark where the screws go on the ground.
I made a template sheet that I lay on the metal for the hole layout.

dug used climbing gear to lay his metal here;

I'll bet it feels pretty good having the roof (almost) done. Do you have the ridge cap on yet? if so you are probably hoping for a little rain!  :)

astidham for facia or light gauge I use a set of tin snips of the newer variety.  I think "Work Force" at Lowes.  For heavier up through Gauge 26 I use a air nibbler that I got from Harbor Freight.  They also make a set of sheers that attach to a cordless drill but I wasn't really sold on them once I seen how they worked,
