Really fun to watch, thanks for the pics!....I don't think I would do very well in that heat....probably spend the day in the cattle's water trough.  I could supervise the work from there, right?

Excellent progress. Looks like you'll be done before me and I had at least a 6 month head start!

That bucket looks like it was a big help, and how tall is that giant stepladder?

Nice work. Those scissor trusses open the place up and provide a lot of space. Did you go to a 10' sidewall? Looks like it allowed you a loft as well. I like your modifications.

the bucket has lifted most the trusses and the plywood for the roof!
the ladder is set at 18' right now but will go up to 22' i think.

yes John the side walls are 10' the trusses are 12/12,the ceiling height is ~18' from the floor. Im going to use the living room closet in your plans for the stairway

Hang in there astidham it will go faster as soon as you get the hang of it.  It is always better to start slow and get everything right and the rest will hold true until you get to the other end.  BTW did you allow any overhang on the side. Picture might be a little decieving.  I usually leave at least 1- 1&1/2 inch (width of the rib)then slide the rake trim piece under the lip of the rib on the outside piece.

Wow, you're really moving along fast.

Did those trusses allow you to forego rafter ties?   Or are you in a no permitting area so it doesn't matter?

Looks great though.
Give me a place to stand and a lever long enough,  and I will move the world.

The trusses are engineered so no ties are needed, but you lose ceiling height in return ~20"

Hey astidham I'm in Oklahoma too, do you know how to find cheap land within a 1 hour radius of Oklahoma City? I'd like to build a house for my wife. I would have messaged you, but this is my first post so I guess its disabled.

Thank you

the 5x5 diamond window was the hardest to install because of being heavy and large
