Question on installing jack posts.

Hello new to forum, however have been reading posts for last couple months.
Building 864 sgft home Price Cty in northern WI. This is exposed basement home, have poured footings and walls. The mason wants to pour floor which will have 6mil plastic with 2" high density foam on floor along with pex tubing, before the deck is on. When or how do I go about installin the posts to hold beam for joists? I have seen the posts set ontop of the floor, on top of the footing pads, have also seen post on top of footing pads then floor poured around and over the post, imbedding post in concrete.

I would pour my footings, followed up by the floor slab and then place the jack post at the designated location.  If/when ( hopefully not) you ever have to move/modify for what ever reason they are accessible and it can be done rather simply.  I think I would eliminate the 2" rigid which will be immediately under the jack post.

I'd pour first the footings and piers (top of pier to be above top of slab).
My advice would be to postpone the pour until the framing is enclosed to prevent flooding of the basement.
