After seven months of waiting my Federal land lease is finally in my hands.   
Now the fun begins. Well, when I can finally get back to the site. I'm waiting for the lake to freeze to a safe thickness and probably won't get out there until Christmas time. 

The first order of the day will be to cut a trail from the lake to cabin site and then start hauling materials so I can build the dock and foundation in 2014. The plan is to close it in during 2015 and then finish as time and $$$$ allow.

I've decided to create a blog about the process from beginning to end.
I figure it will really come in handy when I go to sell the place when I retire to the South.
