Not too long ago, Sarah Brady said Obama was behind her with gun control, it was being worked on by the Administration and it was under the radar.

Now the new spokes person for Al Queda, an American, was calling for members in America to stock up on Assault rifles and ammunition.

Damn sure something or the other in the woodpile >:(

http://nation.foxnews.com/al-qaeda/2011/06/06/al-qaeda-tells-us-muslims-buy-guns-and-start-shooting-people
n a chilling new video, U.S. born Al-Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn calls on American Muslims to buy weapons from gun shows and carry out random, lone-wolf attacks.

The video, called 'Do Not Rely on Others, Take the Task Upon Yourself', was produced by al Qaeda's as Sahab media team and shows 32-year-old Gadahn speaking alongside old clips of Ayman al-Zawahiri and Osama Bin laden.

The proposed switch in tactics from organised bombings to lone-wolf style attacks will worry the security services who find tracking individuals much harder than uncovering pre-planned plots.

Except his real name is Adam Pearlman and he is an American. I'll let you do your own google search for the truth about this clown.

Often, our ignorance is not as great as our reluctance to act on what we know.

Does it matter, other than making him a traitor as well as a terrorist, that he or was an American?

I don't think it does matter that he's an American. It does mean that Obama will have a new excuse to ask for an assault weapons ban.
All in the name of national security.

Other than the required ritual obeisance to the liberal line on gun control at Dem fundraising events, Obama, like the majority of liberal politicians, will get quieter and quieter on the subject as an election gets closer and closer.

After 2012, if he is re-elected, he may float a few trial balloons to see if the NRA gunners are able to shoot them down---politicians not approaching retirement will be paying close attention. Unless you are running in a very liberal district, beating that drum gains a candidate very small return other than fundraising among the party faithful.

That's like the old wives tale that a bear won't bite you if you shout at it.
Sometimes it's true and sometimes it ain't.

Obama will use this to try to close the non existent "Gunshow Loophole"...in the name of national security, if he gets half a chance.

I remember people saying we'd never have an assault weapons ban. Damn near banned semi auto shotguns.

Peter, your analysis may be better than mine---hope he does try. It will energize more opposition to his reelection.

I'm hoping he doesn't. He has more political lives than Bill Clinton. If he can re-energize the minority vote which he's already doing by having the Justice Department go after Police Departments that have an abusive track record and strengthen ties to the Brady Bunch with a closet gun grab...he could win the election.
We still don't know who the Republicans will run but I can almost guarantee, it will be someone who is only so-so.

Is this the same Adam Pearlman that worked for the ADL.  Does anyone else find it odd that a Muslim terrorist org would follow a Jewish kid that once worked for the ADL (that is controlled by Jews?)

Adam Pearlman was never Jewish. The way he inherited the name Pearlman, was from his paternal grandfather.  Who was the only person Jewish in his lineage.   He was raised evangelical Christian.  He converted to Islam at 17.  No he did not work for the ADL.  His grandfather did.  And I don't know what any of this has to do with the ADL being "controlled by Jews".  Quite frankly I don't see what his background religion whether Christian or Jew has anything to do with it.

I don't think it has anything to do with it Squirl, but the news media seems to plated up.
What concerns me the most is that he's an American and the timing and the content of this message raises all kinds of red flags with me.

It may just be a coincidence but they make me nervous.

I agree Peter, and I understand your concern.  You have more vigilance than many concerning our second amendment rights.  I don't know if it is just the minority vote with the police prosecutions, more than the urban vote as a whole.  Many urban environments that I have lived or worked in had severe corruption problems within the ranks.  It was the largest cultural differnce I had seen between rural and urban living.
