Tonight my daughter won third place in the science fair this year (4th grade). And she got a "Judges Choice" ribbon too!  Tomorrow she gets to pick dinner.

Congrats! To your daughter. Her board is well done!

Our son had his science fair last night. He had a good project and good information but his presentation on the board lacked any style. I thought he should of went with "Is bigger better?" But noooooo the hubs said noooooooo. He did his project on "C" vs  "D" batteries. Then his conclusion...I was right, it is good to be right. He is in fifth grade and is all ready demonstrating selective hearing disorder and funny smells.

Cool muldoon.  I always enjoyed the science fair projects... well, I did at least one I can remember.  She did a nice job.

Another year and another science fair.

My 5th grade daughter Shannon won first place in the science fair today for her experiment using copper pennies and zinc washers with vinegar and wax paper to create a battery and light a light, power a small clock, and somewhat charge her ipod... she worked hard on this one and we built that thing like 8 or 10 times with various changes to evaluate the pieces.  She learned a bit and we both had fun.

And our 1st grade son Shawn won honorable mention in his very first science fair attempt with the solar powered hot dog cooker.

I am happy for both of my mad scientists.

Tell them GOOD JOB.  I always like to see kids excel in what ever they persue.  Getting a little recognition never hurts.  Maybe she can develope some good grade batteries down the road to use in Off Grid situations.

It is surprising what kids can pick up just doing simple stuff.  Soon with a little encouragement they can really run with it.  Steve Jobs and Bill Gates started some where.

There is a future for our country, and your kids are living it.

Thanks for the show folks.
I'm enjoying all that I own, the moment.

Great kids!  Great projects!  Way to go Dad - they'll always remember the time you spent w/them which will help them remember how great working on something & learning what it's all about is  :)

Often, our ignorance is not as great as our reluctance to act on what we know.

Excellent!  I love to see kids involved in math and science.  Keep up the great work!

Congratulate them for me too Muldoon.

We have some great parents on this board who have raised some great kids! ;)
