Unbelievable

I like the idea of suits with their sponsors (George Ure at Urbansurvival has been promoting this for years)

Yes - with inside trading legal for our glowing congress, they are free to make tons of money from all the killing they can con our servicemen and Blackwater/xe/??? into doing.

I'm not a fan of Congress, but we have to be fair.  Kerry "earned" his money by marrying rich.  Issa was rich before he ran for Congress, as were many of them.  I'm not giving them a free pass, but the same personalities that earn money in the private sector are attracted to politics.

Considering they earn a salary about 5 times the national average, we would expect them to have higher net worth.  Once you get past the basic "mortgage, food, transportation" expenses, the disposable income left for investment adds up quickly.

We should ensure that our congress is not for sale; I don't think it is near as bad as portrayed in the media.

New Mexico.  Better than regular Mexico.

here is a history lesson from 1935, written by the most decorated marine at the time of him writing it.

a frequently cited passage from the book:

QuoteIn another often cited quote from the book Butler says:
I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.
