Woke up this morning with the power being out.  To complicate matters the temps are 10F.  Drag the generator out and fire it up so the DW can dry her hair before going to work.  Not really but you don't really know how much you depend on power if you are on the grid until it is gone.  Anyway on the upside the coffee post had already brewed before the outage.

Haven't we all gotten soft by depending on technology?  My thermocouple went out on the first night of the new year.  House was already uncomfortably chilly the next day by the time I got it repaired.

I don't understand, John.  I'm off grid. 

The reality is that with that many cloudy days we would have to kick the generator on to assist also.  Do you get breaks of sun between snows? hmm
