I was browsing through a Simpson catalog, and did not find anything to asssit with connecting roof rafters to the ridge beam.  Does such a thing exist, or is it unnecessary?

Thanks,

They make things that you can buy for most applications, but usually there is a cheap way to do it such as making good cuts, and nailing well.

No problem, but my wife even has trouble getting me off the mountain to go to a Thanksgiving dinner in the valley. ;D

I have never used any hardware when splicing the ridge. I just make sure the splice falls on a rafter layout, not midspan.
