I finally admitted that the maul was not my friend anymore. >:(

I am looking at wood splitters. This is one I looked at:
http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay_10551_10001_130692_-1______?rFlag=true&cFlag=1

Tractor Supply also has a 35 ton model. Much heavier and a larger engine for 1800.00.
I'm really leaning toward the heavier one.

Ant other suggestions?
These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

Peter I have never had any trouble out of the 22-27 ton ones. I have split some really big stuff .  Still can't find any that roll the big bliocks in place for me. What ever you get make sure that it will operate in the verticle position.  Saves alot on your back not having to lift them until they are little small pieces.  If you need to try it out let me know ;D
