Future of Cold Fusion?

Mr oil and Mr Coal have too much to lose. Much in the same way Gore was ridiculed by the neo-con controlled press when he talked about global warming and greenhouse gases.

The Press is vigilant and harasses anyone that states they are working on cold fusion. Other forms of scientists attack because they would all be out of jobs if it was proven successful and put to use in society.

Much like the first of the scientists that said the sun was the center of the universe and the world was not flat. The acceptance of these truths at that time would change all aspects of science and religion and put a lot of people out of work and change the balance of power for the welathy elite

Well, I've yet to read about anyone having their claims of more energy OUT than energy put IN verified.

If I've missed something point me in the right direction.

Peter, I'm one of those that questions the reasons for global warming - I don't believe Al Gore's theories - I've read & watched too many documentaries made from hundreds of scientists who discount Gore's & his cronies arguments.  I agree that there is global warming, but not entirely man-made.

I'm not that familiar with cold fusion... read the article & thought I'd put it out for comments as it sounds promising & from the slant of the article, another possible producer of low cost, low polluting energy that is being debunked because of the threat to current energy producers.

I'm with you Don.  I want to see it happen but want to see them prove it and be able to do it more than once.

Well I believe it exists and I believe that there have been a small group of people that have made it happen.

But without funding the tests are done in backyard workshops...No huge funds or personnel, so it is trial and error and it could take decades of stumbling along to hit the jackpot.

Sort of like 40 years ago many knew solar cells were capable of 30-40% efficiency and there were calls for better batteries and storage techs to make it work...

But without government funding and cheap oil nothing was done.... it was a few insane scientists working in small unfunded labs stumbling along towards progress

I see cold fusion much like that

Well, if you believe in creationism, the gene pool started out perfect, the environment was probably more like a hyperbaric chamber, people lived for 100's of years - they were probably a lot smarter than we are now!
