just thaught i would ask all you what tool are recomended to build a home , what your favorite brands are and what you think would have made your projet a little eazier or saved you money in the long run.

There are several common tools that you will need just for the framing aspect.  Then there are speciality tools for various project.  As far as brands go that is sort of like which is best "Chevrolet or Ford".  I think this thread which has been on-going will help you determine what you are looking for.
