I post this every once in awhile.  Here goes, has anyone seen a type of window that could go between 16" stud walls? It does not need to open but can?
My last search ended up with a shower/bath window turned sideways.
There has to be some kind of moonroof or? built for walls.
I remember from the boating days there were these beautiful "Fresnel" lenses that would let light into dark places.

Thanx!

Most sky lights are not designed to be installed on the vertical face.  They require flashing to be watertight and without them being on a "some what" horizontal surface I would be afraid they would leak.  Not saying that they don't make one but I have never seen one before.  I did recently attend a auction where there were stationary sealed window units which had an outside dimension of 14" which would work in a 16OC cavity. Might just have to take some searching.

Does this work?

Edit: If you do a search on 14 shed window you should find something that suits your needs, I hope.

Wonder about the insulation value.  On my skylights they are argon filled double pane.

There are these things to fit into whatever factor of their size/

Can do this kind of thing with them.

Thanks so far!  I think I saw a few of these and I am not sure right now. The energy thing is not big as it is in a garage. The security issue is not big either as it is small enough that only aliens could get in.

I will try and search for the Fresnel glass thing as it was really a work of art and not very big. Just need an accent light to find the light switch.
