Isn't it great that we now live in a country where we have Federal officials in various agencies and capacities from the President down, who can decide who the trouble makers are and simply put them on a list for harassment or call out Blackwater (Xe) or similar to eliminate the problem without tying up the judicial system.  I think the above article has enough references to make it credible.

We recently saw Simmons have a mysterious heart attack in his hot tub for talking about the BP coverup and being the most credible critic of them... don't worry it's not going away because he can no longer talk.  It will be back.

I think it is a great way to save the taxpayers money so that we can use it for our military and mercenaries ... ahem... I mean "contractors"  to invade and occupy small mineral rich mostly defenseless countries for corporate fun and profit...  [waiting]

That article cites an article in the NY Times, but there is nothing  in the NYT article, nor any of the other cites,  about assassinating US citizens.  I think your writer needs to cut back on the coffee.  Also, it appears from her syntax that English is not her native language.

Seems others have the same conclusion as the writer above and what does it matter if a citizen is out in the world or here.  Seems there is not a differentiation on whereabouts of Executive executions without due process.

If they are allowed to do it anywhere they will do it here.  Besides we are all aware of lots of "unsolved" mysterious deaths here in the US of high profile individuals that are a problem for political interests.  There is as much evidence as to the cause of their deaths as there is evidence to support a federal hit list.

Chuck Norris thinks so too... http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=183605

QuoteIt's not an extremist belief or theory of the far Right. It's a fact that has been confirmed by publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, MSNBC and even documented by the far-left blog, Salon.com.

And it's the gravest nightmare of U.S. citizens and abandonment of our Constitution to date: A presidential assassination program in which U.S. citizens are in the literal scopes of the executive branch, based upon nothing more than allegations of terrorism involvement as they define it.

Of course, the CIA has executed covert assassinations of foreigners for decades. But, tragically, Obama is now expanding this program to include American, non-Islamic, stateside, homegrown terrorists.

It all started in January of this year when The Washington Post reported, "As part of the operations, Obama approved a December 24 strike against a [Yemeni] compound where a U.S. citizen, Anwar al-Awlaki, was thought to be meeting with other regional al-Qaida leaders. Although he was not the focus of the strike and was not killed, he has since been added to a shortlist of U.S. citizens specifically targeted for killing or capture. ..."

"A shortlist of U.S. citizens specifically targeted for killing"?

That's right. No arrest. No Miranda rights. No due process. No trial. Just a bullet.

QuoteWell, in recent months and weeks, the Obama administration has taken this overseas killing op to a new low: stateside assassinations.

Former Director of National Intelligence Adm. Dennis Blair confessed before Congress: "We take direct actions against terrorists in the intelligence community. If we think that direct action will involve killing an American, we get specific permission to do that."

If you are wondering who the "we" are, to whom Blair refers, they are Smith, Wesson and the White House.

Now we know what Deputy National Security Adviser John Brennan meant when he admitted in May of this year: "And under President Obama, we have built upon the work of the previous administration and have accelerated efforts in many areas." (Remember when Bush's eavesdropping on U.S. citizens seemed harsh?)

Brennan further explained then that the problem of homegrown terrorists ranks as a top priority, because of the increasing number of U.S. individuals who have become "captivated by extremist ideology or causes." He went on to say, "There are ... dozens of U.S. persons who are in different parts of the world that are very concerning to us."

Do you think "different parts of the world" doesn't include their country of origin?

QuotePresident Obama explained in an often overlooked statement within the document of the National Security Strategy:  "We are now moving beyond traditional distinctions between homeland and national security. ... This includes a determination to prevent terrorist attacks against the American people by fully coordinating the actions that we take abroad with the actions and precautions that we take at home."

Could it be any clearer? Right out of the horse's mouth. Or do I need to spell out what "fully coordinating the actions we take abroad with the actions we take at home" means?

Remember the words, "A shortlist of U.S. citizens specifically targeted for killing"?

That's right. No arrest. No Miranda rights. No due process. No trial. Just a bullet.

This is a tempest in a teapot. If any person takes up arms against our boys and girls overseas, then by all means eliminate them by any means possible. I don't care if they are an American citizen who is working with the Taliban, the Mexican mafia, or a hostile nation. We're not talking about killing American citizens in the United States. If anyone has any proof of that, I would like to see it.

Seems the way they are talking it is open for the US also but then again - can we trust a Fed to be judge and jury just because someone ratted someone out - possibly someone they do not like for other reasons.  It is common already for the Feds to take out US citizens mysteriously when they are a problem ---

Without proof but bad things happened to

Vincent Foster

Ted Stevens

9/11 witnesses  http://happilynaturalday.com/consciousness/mysterious-deaths-of-key-911-witnesses/

And on and on and on...

No ... I don't think the person in the presidents office or any other Fed is acceptable to order assassinations.

Glenn, I agree with you to the extent that we have to keep a close eye on our federal representatives. No dispute there. However, assassinations are one thing; killing an enemy is another. The names of the folks you cited died under suspicious circumstances, but I'm not sure they were killed by our government or any other.

glenn kangiser

Yup, not a clue as it was meant to be.  Very efficient in coverup aren't they.

Ted Stevens death was a sad day for Alaskans and Americans.  I can not see how this could have been an assassination considering the challenging terrain and weather they faced.

   Add to the list . . .

Minn Sen. Paul Wellstone, family, staff members and two pilots.   Died in a plane crash under mysterious circumstances.   A portable EMP may have taken the plane down.   Witnesses observed some strange lights just before the crash. . . . .

/.
. . . said the focus was safety, not filling town coffers with permit money . . .

People in power and not necessarily elected officials yet in power have done this all through history.  What makes you think it would change now?

Civilization is a long way from being warm and fuzzy.  Thinking it is seems it is a concept the educated philosophical establishment has heaped on the general population who eats it up.  Everyone seems to want to live the dream.  Just do not get out of line, bad things will happen.  Drink the cool-aid and you will be happy.
Proverbs 24:3-5 Through wisdom is an house builded; an by understanding it is established.  4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.  5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.

Add John Kennedy Jr - was going to run for pres.  Skolnick got info about his plane being blown out of the sky- family sealed the report - this agrees with my theory as there was no wandering around lost and disoriented - visibility was good and not clouded as per official report as I recall..... just a straight dive into the drink without the tail section of the plane....

That is true, Rick ... not going to change.
