Maybe some updated pics might help in those areas that you are concerned with.  Anything else would just be a shot in the dark.

Sorry I can't offer up any idears.

I really like the idea of converting a silo into a home.All of the ones around here are rotting wooden ones or very small and tall steel ones.

Check out the August/September issue of Mother Earth News Magazine for an article on silo homes.  It features several photos and goes into some of the considerations for insulation, etc.  Good stuff.

Those articles were taken from a blog on alternative housing.I subscribe to MEN but had found those silo houses before MEN did their article.They are VERY nicely done. kindrngentlr13's silo is gonna be a sweet build also.I found their blog and visit often.
