After a devistating wet spring I am glad to see that some of the turkey hatchlings made it.  A wet spring will play havoc on newly hatched turkeys.  Here is a shot I took from the front porch this morning.

Peter I wish I would be able to use my 35 mm with the tele lense.  I used to get good pictures with that but they are not readily available to display. With this digital the zoom function has a lot to be desired.  One of these days I want to pick up a good camera but there are too many irons in the fire right now.

Well it's been two months since I originally posted this.  At that time they were about the size of banty chickens.  They have almost doubled their size in that amount of time.  With the grass hoppers out in numbers so has the turkey popularity.  This has been a common sight about everyday for the last month or so. 



You can guage which are the juvenile and which are the adult birds.
