For those of you that have not gone through a traumatic house injury, you have to make plans on the fly.  Nothing is an easy decision because you have to get yourself in the dry.  Now, we could have gone into town and rented and not have this, but we must guard our property from "the shoppers".  Yes, "the shoppers" do exist.  All shoppers to date have been scared away by the German Shepherd since we bought a camper and now live in it.

For the short term we are going to............I think in the latest plan......... add onto my 12X20 wood shop and turn that into a place for our 17 year old, the washer, dryer and refrigerator.  Septic,,,,,,,,that's a triple S theory........ ;)  We have the camper and with our diverse work schedules, she will get no quality sleep.

Of which, I was informed tonight that instead of working Monday thru Friday that now I will be on a 4x4 shift.
Just shoot me now, but in the end it will be a good thing.  More time to demolish and rebuild, school will be a BIT more challenging but doable.

We paid off our mortgage last year and I like no house payment.  Our insurance upgrade...........was to take place May 13th on policy renewal........House blows down May 8th.  Still kicking myself for that.  Thankfully, I come from a long line of poor dirt farmers.  Anyone who doesn't know what a dirt farmer is can ask.

I have figured out how to tie in the skid for the new part,,,,,,,,,but the roof is what I am working on figuring out.  The husband is rather worthless in construction due to his theory that close enough counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, hydrogen bombs and construction.  He's a hoot at deconstruction though ;D ;D ;D ;D

And to top it all off, I found out tonight that I'm no where close to being on the layoff list!!!!

I realize I just threw a bunch of random thoughts in this post, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed tonight.  I will be more coherent in future posts (and I'm a newbie also).

Susan what did you have or what will you have.  Any pics of anything to give us an idea? I mean of the house not the random stuff. ;D

Susan, I hate plans because if you follow them closely then they are hard to change.  I do most of my stuff without a plan except for meat plans.  The ones in my head.  They are easy to change as I need to.  [crz]

Carry on - in my opinion you are doing fine. :)

When things stop moving, nail down a portion of a plan - even if it is a paper one and do it.

Obviously I'm not much help on this... [waiting]

Redover, we had a 16x80 mobile home that I will try to post pics of.  It was a total loss from the insurance company.

I'll try to get some pics uploaded so you can see my shop.

Sorry for my rambling random thoughts last night.  I was feeling rather overwhelmed.  I'll be down to business shortly of taking care of business and I'll be posting lots of pictures.
