The last couple of days have just been a big tease by Mother Nature.  I have had enough winter and wish that Spring would make a speedy approach.  This is what it is like in the springtime.

Often, our ignorance is not as great as our reluctance to act on what we know.

It's been in the 60's last couple of days.  You'd never know it snowed last week!  Luckily for us winter isn't over yet.  I say luckily, because our garden beds aren't ready yet!  It's been to cold to do it!  Time to get the seedlings started though...gotta hurry.
just spent a few days building a website, and didn't know that it could be so physically taxing to sit and do nothing all day!

Is that your daughter, Red?  She's quite the cutie!

Well, we've had rain, thunderstorms, snow - you name it - right now it's 33 degrees.  A couple weeks ago it was in the 70's.  Yesterday I went outside during a break in the rain & my plum tree has a bunch of buds - many just ready to pop open, the daffodils are coming out, a couple have flowers on them already .   I'm glad we're getting the rain & snow - it's been so dry the past couple years.  The lakes & reservoirs are less the 60% filled on average.   Still have some roses & lots of calendula (they bloom all year) so already have had some Spring - I guess it can't make up it's mind...   ???

It's funny Sassy, my entire life in California was spent in drought it seems!  They ought to just remark the reservoirs at the 60% mark, they never get above that.  Out here, people talk about drought, and I look at them like they're insane.  "Everything is still green!"  I say.  maybe by August, grass will turn brown, but mostly stuff stays green.  It's weird, beautiful, and wonderful!

That reminds me of the 1st year I lived in Washington state...  everything was so green & beautiful that summer, but they said they were in one of their worst droughts ever - even had to truck water to Point Roberts.  To me it was just lush & green  :)
