Peter Nap hasn't been around here for nearly two weeks. I hope he's okay. And that his Dad is okay.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

I heard from him last Thursday - the 27th and things seemed OK.  Hopefully he's only busy.

he emailed me back tonight:

Apparently zeus knocked his computer down and crashed the hard drive.  He has been limping along and is still rebuilding it tonight.  He says he should be back online tomorrow or so.

Arrrgh-- I had a PM from him but my brain has been scattered like so much pilaf, I forgot.

Sorry , I had to use that expression, but an old Armenian lady used it once when things were going every which way so I had to use it and it popped into my mind.

We use the term "Senior Moment" in our house.  I'm not sure our kids would know what pilaf is...
A bad day of fishing beats a good day at work any day, but building something with your own hands beats anything.

She was pretty funny, but she finally learned it was not of much use to argue with me. d*  [frus]

I'm Back!
Thanks for thinking of me everyone.

That was not fun. I had nearly 75 gigs of pictures I had NOT backed up on DVD, mt real backup was on a drive partition that was destroyed and I had bits and pieces of backups on an external hard drive and older backups on DVD's.

I'm not finished yet but I have a big chunk reloaded. I did lose all my email and contact information as well as a lot of technical documents.

My total reload is going to be around 150 gigs and then a lot of that is going on DVD where it belongs.

I just got all my financial software loaded and waatched the jobs report. Even though I expected it, the numbers are just stunning.

I wish I had time for popcorn but I have to finish the computer. check my waterline (I think I have a leak) and get readyto hunt tomorrow  (I hope)

Thanks again !!!
