Just got back from the farm again. Got some more done than yesterday and although, I'm wheezing some...not near as bad as yesterday.

In about 30 seconds,  the mini series John Adams starts. I worked on that film for 3 years and considering all the screwups HBO did, I want to see the finished product.

No HBO, no cable, no dish.  :(

Caught something on the news this evening about someone in DC wanting to challange the goverment on the "right to bear arms" since that have outlawed majority in DC.  It is going before the SC to get it overturned. That was ABC haven't wen online to see what they said. I know John Adams takes precident right now but you might check it out later.  Sorry only the basics and no HBO.

That's been coming on for a year or so. The justices will give their opinion on Tuesday IIRC. Very important case. I surely hope they it "right".

John, this gives a good story on the upcoming Supreme Court Case. It's big doings.

I was right about the movie being dull. John Adams was dull.

I have thousands of pictures I took there and had a ball though.

This is the inside set (stages). I took it from a lift when I was running some cat 5 cable.

I also built most of the canes and some of the rifles.

The movie Somersby was made just in Va across the state line. A lot of local talent were in the film.  I think Richard Greer was the principle actor.  It took place around the civil war era. I guess these kind of movies made in the sticks are easier to find the local talent as most of them already have the basics down to mountain acting or not acting just being themselves . ;)

We won't see many movies made in Va now. Most of the Southern states passed special tax incentives for movies but Va. Refused. I worked on Bruce Almighty foe a while and a real cheapie called Lake City but it all dried up after that.
They are going to NC and La. to make the films now.

I guess it's a good thing too....it was like running away to join the circus :)

I also wouldn't like to trade one minute of it.

NM has it's own share of cable TV shows, made for TV movies and made for big screen productions as well.

We're told the tax and other incentives are good for the state's economy.  :-\

Interesting note: The Nuge [Ted Nugent... Motor City Madman] does a cable TV hunting show I've never seen. Anyhow he was here in NM a few weeks back on some film or TV production and had dinner at the Governor Bill's mansion. Governor Bill is an avid hunter and a Democrat. The Nuge is an avid hunter, gun owner, gun rights person, etc. Nugent told Governor Bill he was the first democrat he ever met that he liked. The two may be hunting turkeys together for Nugent's TV show.

Sounds interesting, Peter, but only internet here and never watch TV.

Cool to see stuff you have worked on on the tube though.

Good thing they are Democrats and Chenney is out of the loop to go with them.
