Internet disruption is set to continue
A third submarine internet cable has been snapped as firms in the Middle East and South Asia are grappling with slowdowns and outages.

The cause of the break in FALCON cable in the Persian Gulf on Friday is not clear yet.

Internet connections in India, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have been disrupted since Wednesday due to cut in two marine cable systems in the Mediterranean Sea.

Damage from the slowdowns and outages in India, one of the biggest hits, rippled to US and European companies since the country is home to an $11 billion outsourcing industry.

The disruption is set to continue since a repair ship is expected to arrive at the site of the first break on 5 February and the repair work would take a week.

Some reports suggested that the two cables, which are 400 km apart, might have been damaged by a ship's anchor.

More likely cut by us in preparation for bombing Iran for Israel.  Shrub wants it so bad he can taste it, as he is being pushed to the front by Cheney...
