One very memorable movie

In 2004 HBO contracted with me to do the networking and computer leasing for a Tom Hanks Movie. As it turned out, it was the longest lasting production I was ever associated with and I developed some of the best friendships I ever made on a movie.

I got interested in some of the construction and started taking pictures. I have hundreds of them showing every stage except the finish (4 years later).

I have at least 3 DVD.s stuffed full. These three fellows were plasterers. They made anything that was supposed to be stone, brick or whatever. All three were Navaho's and were considered the very best in the business. They were damned nice fellows to boot.

While we built 3 cities in Virginia and several overseas, this is a good example of a brick building. If memory serves me, it was a Colonial City Hall.

Way cool, Peter! I never gave much thought to brick buildings in movies before. I shall now cast a thoroughly jaundiced eye at them now.

If you have seen the remake of War of the Worlds....I sat there and watch the basement they were hiding in, one trowel of plaster at a time. This is a different movie, but the same three guys.
