As you might be able to gather, I have/had a leaking section of pipe that I discovered during my pressure test.  When you have a system all glued up, it gets a lot more rigid....so are there any special tricks I might consider to make my task simpler?

Thanks,

I know that for PVC pipe there are couplers that are made without the center stop ring. That enables the coupler to be slid over the pipe and then slid back over the splice.    There are also rubber sleeves that have hose clamps for securing the pipe.   I've used both.  I liked the PVC sleeves the best. Hopefully there is something like it for ABS.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Cut it out and rebuild the bad part using parts like Don suggested.

 Yup, a No-hub , or a Fernco connector,

Ace / Home Despot /  Blowes all carry them. Cut out the bad fittings use one Fernco to close the loop.

When in doubt , build it stout with something you know about .

It looks like all my new fittings held during my pressure test (except for three breakaway test plugs that can easily be replaced), so I may not need the Fernco stuff after all.  That is unless the inspector says I did something wrong.  Here's hoping not....
