Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Now if that laptop was plugged in as opposed to being run on battery power, we would have what we call a "short cycle reinforcement event" or, in layman's terms, a "real quick learning experience."

No, wait.  The power is already stepped down from 120v AC to 18v DC.  The damn dog will get away with it.

I am going to guess that the person who owns the camera does not also own the laptop.

Typical truck drivers problem.  People in cars passing on the right and thinking the driver can see them. rofl

Just changed my keyboard but didn't notice any lemonade in it. heh

Hmmm... read the title of the thread and was all prepared to write, "Finding out three days before the sale of your house 900 miles away that the furnace went out because the moron who did the inspection left the cover off and now all the water in the house is frozen solid...."  But, then I saw the pictures.  That looks like kind of a bad day.

MountainDon

I hope that didn't really happen to you. I'd rather have to deal with the puppy/computer problem than that.

Oh no!!  Sorry to hear that!

I was thinking the same way. I wasn't expecting to find pictures.

Yup.  Got a call from our realtor last night just as we were serving supper at my daughter's birthday party, and just after we got a call from the closing company saying everything was a "go" on Monday for the closing.  We also ended up with a $98 bill because our realtor called a repairman before calling us, and even though I told her exactly what to do to fix it (and was RIGHT) the guy still charged because he came out.  They set the thermostat at 70 degrees and are hoping for the best.  They are supposed to go back this morning and make sure we don't have any pipes burst. >:(  She said even the water in the toilets was frozen solid.   :(  Talk about a gut-wrenching feeling.  Just when we thought it was safe to relax a little.  DH was awake every half hour last night.  I, on the other hand, fell asleep the second my head hit the pillow because I'd been cooking all day and getting stuff ready for DD's birthday party (or at least I slept until it started hailing at 4 AM.)

Send the bill to the inspector.... seriously.   >:(

Antifreeze in the toilets will stop them from freezeing. I hope they didn't brake :-[

I'd bill the inspector too and see if payment could be withheld.  If legit he should have insurance to cover his screw-ups.  Best to you, Homey.

Sorry to hijack the thread, Don.  Talked to the realtor this morning and she said it was starting to thaw pretty well, and so far no leaks.  I haven't talked to her yet this evening.   :P
