This is just a test of a short video taken with my digital camera. Nothing fancy.. just a trial to learn how to do this.

Thanks to Glenn for sticking his toe in the water.

None of us are as smart as all of us.

Nice place you have there John! Maybe I should think about building the saltbox. Sooner or later, I'll have to make up my mind.

Nice video and being able to add text and voice is a nice touch.

Cool, John -- you're a movie star.

The video loaded faster than I could watch it -- no stops or buffering.

We are running DSL with a wireless to our laptop computers. :)

Great looking house & moviestar you featured, John!

BTW, Miedrn, it's a good thing you have some time before you have to decide on what you really want - by then you will be pretty much sure of your choice, hopefully...  ;)  There's so many neat looking owner built places on CP alone.

OH wow  videos on the forum.  What will they think of next.  Neat to finally see and hear your voice John. ;)

It's nice to see a little of your home and you John.  This sure has a community feel to it.   Thanks for letting me be a little bittie part of it, mostly a taker rather than a giver!

Sassy, the problem is I like whatever I see here! It's difficult to make up my mind. I think I better start at the beginning again!

Just when I thought I knew the answer, I forgot the question.

Miedrn, I didn't think it was proper for women to ever know what they want - I guess it's OK as long as they have the option to change their mind or take it back. :)

How am I doing in my effort to understand?  Please rate me from 1 to 10 with 10 being very understanding.  :-/

That was a fun first attempt at video. The compression was set pretty high to speed up loading (there was more resolution in the actual video footage). Maybe next time I'll try for a bit more quality.

Also a sunny day would help!

Here's the camera I am using:
