Hello,

I recently finished building a small 12x16 storage shed with a metal roof. It isn't insulated, and I'd like to keep it that way if possible. On sunny days, the inside gets noticeably hotter than the outdoor temperature, even with the windows open.

I'm not looking for perfect air conditioning just hoping to keep the shed close to the outside temperature.

Has anyone had good results with simple, low-cost solutions?

Would adding roof vents, improving airflow, or using reflective paint make a noticeable difference? I'd appreciate any practical tips or ideas.

Thanks! :(

I have read that white roof paint can reflect the majority of sunlight, and helps to keep your building cool.  I don't have any personal experience.

We have a thermostatically activated fan in our house which helps as well.

Good luck..
