Ok, it doesn't look like I'm going to find anyone to put my tri-flex up on the roof decking.  I'm really not looking forward to it and I was really looking forward to getting off the roof, but now is the time.

I've seen brackets that bolt to the roof where you put a couple of boards and it gives you a flat place to stand.

Where to find these?

thanks

Yes, that is what I was looking for.  I used a climbing harness tied to the tractor on the other side of the house.  I'm the only one to knows how to even start the tractor so I think I'm ok.  I did that to finish nailing on my roof decking.  It took forever so I was planning on hiring out my plastic.  The climbing harness and blake's hitch (climbing knot) worked well for going up and down the roof but it won't work for going left and right on the roof.  Looks like I'm going to be ordering some roof jacks.

thanks

Lowe's has them.  I know Home Depot did in the past, too.  Be careful up there
Find what you love and let it kill you.

They are cheap too, like $8. Make sure to follow the instructions. You don't really want to space them more than 6 ft apart. Use a 2x10 and attach it to the bracket with a screw. They put a hole in them just for that purpose. I also tie the top of my ladder to the whole thing once its set up. Cause your usually climbing up with something in your hands and you can't be safe enough when it comes to heights.
