I turned in my notice and have taken another offer this week. The work where I was at was kinda cool, and I'll miss my team the most. I'll miss the middle management the least.

I start as a "consultant" back at a place I worked at before as an employee in a few weeks. global fortune 5, paying nice bank, 95% work from home. w2 hourly.

With some luck, I should be able to work from home, work from the cabin in the country, or work out of the country if I was so disposed.  a tidbit of a raise in the process too, which was a nicety.

crossing my fingers.

Sounds ideal!  Hope it all works out well for you  :)

Wow, Congrats, Muldoon!  It sounds like an ideal setup.  Wish my husband could work from home at least part of the time.... I miss the time when both of us were still working and we could eat lunch together, etc.

Best Wishes Muldoon,

I have a new job offer also.....nearly 100k...and the perks that go with it. (I only make about 65k now)

The insurance is a problem. My wife has issues and I need something that will be seamless. Obamascare isn't going to do it.

Sure wish I knew what to do...................

I have an opporturnity to be paid for what I know instead of how many holes in the ground I dig.

However, digging those holes has been an honorable proffesion.....it really has.

Any opinions will appreciated.

Thanks....

I would check out the chances of getting on with insurance that will accept preexisting conditions if your old insurance is taking care of it for one thing, Sparks.
The second is to look at possible longevity of the position at each place.  Will they both be there next week.

As our fed looks at buying tons of worthless paper from other countries inflation will make our dollars worth less and less.  China and other economies cannot drop us cold turkey but can wean themselves off of us.  Which one has the best chance of remaining as the economy gets worse?
