Well, it's back to work for us on Tuesday.
Some of you know we made an extra special trip this year by spending three weeks in Europe.
I do still intend to post some of our favorite photos soon in case anyone is wondering.

In anticipation of next year here's fair warning to everyone who lives in or west of the Rocky Mountains.
Next June we're taking a road trip.
A camping road trip.
We'll be in need of a shower every so often.  ;D ;D

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

If you make it this far we will for sure have a shower for you and if you promise not to make fun of me, I will let you look at my solar battery area... [waiting]

All Right... sounds like a plan.... Looking forward to it. :)

It's OK - It's safe here now - Just put a new piece of Romex across the driveway for the pump as the first one failed after 8 years.... [ouch]

By the way - plan on staying here long as you want - we'll dig a hole for you if necessary.  Mi casa es su casa....

I could bring my cable crimper. I know you have a big hammer.

We could smash things.

Check out historic sites ...

Gold Mines ...

Conspiracy theories...

Maybe cross the Sierra to Bodie...

Bug Lodge for dinner...

We will find more to do than we will have time for...

I just had a thought as I'm thinking about where we shall wander. readers/members are likely to have their own ideas of what is a must-see or a must-do. Let's here where in the west you think a person should go.

We like the outdoors, history, and the like. The geographic limits would be the Mexican border on the south, the Rocky Mountains on the east, Pacific on the west and north to..... wherever roads go. Road to us is anything 4WD, lockers and a winch will allow. No, I'll take that back... anywhere 4WD and one locker will get me. I'll save the winch and the second locker for getting back.  ;D

If you know of cool mplaces in the midwest, south and east start another thread.

Maybe Saline Valley hot springs but it is really hot in the summer.

West edge of Death Valley.

These guys come by about daily at ground level to check out the hot tubbers.  There was a slow down in the water there but I just read that it is coming back.

Then Bodie then Mono Lake then through Lee Vining to Yosemite and come in our back door. :)  Then Highway 49 through the Gold Country - towns - museums etc.
