A concept I never heard of until today is Tau, which is a representation of 2pi.  There is apparently some movement in making the case that pi has been wrong and that circles are concept of radians and not diameters thus using 2pi or 6.28.... simpler (ie todays date which they call tau day).  The notion has some interesting concepts and I thought I would pass it on.

So, was archimedes wrong, has thousands of years of math been done inefficiently?  2pi would be equally irrational and would still have all the same fun attributes.   Can anyone think of any equations made more interesting with this in mind?
