I have seen many different variations on how to attach a girder to a concrete sonotube....Any opinions as to which is the best? I am preparing to build a 28x40 single story with 3 rows of 6 post n piers and I am trying to figure out the best way to attach the girders. ???

you can get simpson brackets, set them in the concrete, or drill the holes after. I did mine after, and if you do, DO NOT squirt much glue in the hole, it prevents the tie from pushing into the concrete.

Simpson brackets set in wet concrete work. Cut the sonotubes to exact height and brace well with temp 2x material.

Or on something of this size it maight we well worh looking at a full perimeter poured concrete footing with concrete block stem walls.

Or maybe a raised floor system...

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
