Hello all, with our current plan we have a bedroom above our living room that is 12' 10"x 11'.  If we were to remove this room and replace it with cathedral ceilings in the livingroom, would the building cost saving of removing the bedroom/sq ft, make up the difference of adding the more expensive trusses and labour involved in a more expensive ceiling? It's a plan were considering buying from an online company.

So this is all still a paper plan?

Without seeing the plan, the overall size, how floors, rafters, ceilings have been laid out it is really difficult to even venture a guess, IMO. Lots of variables.

Somehow I don't think you'd break even on costs.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
