Anyone else find it outrageous that to night Biden said Obama's plan was not only going to reduce the interest rates for those about to lose their home, but reduce the principal too?

Oh crap!

I didn't watch... had a meeting I had to be at, but I DVD-R'd it; probably watch it on the weekend up in the mountains if I get to feeling too good.  :P

That idea is crap!!
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

No one in the media has addressed it, nor on the Republican side.

Well

I would rather the average american homeowner have their debt and payment reduced as opposed to having the feds buy a trillions dollars worth of debts from the banks with taxpayer monies.

And I would rather see homeowners have their payment and principle's reduced as opposed to seeing executives and the wealthy that are in the loop walk away from these catastrophies with millions in bonuses and buyouts

I find it outrageous. I  bought a home within my means.  If I knew that instead of being diligent and buying a small starter home that is not big, does not have walk in closets, granite counters, but has the basics to get started, If I knew I could get an interest rate reduction along with a principal reduction, then I would have gotten myself a MCMansion.

We are becoming a socialist country.

What I find outrageous is McCain today.  Is he senile?  Did he forget he voted for this thing last night?  I watched him on cspan2, I heard his tired voice say aye.

"It's insanity, and it's obscenity because it's a waste of taxpayers' dollars, and it goes on," McCain said on MSNBC.

"And until we stop it, until we get, frankly, a president who will say I'm going to veto those bills, I'm going to make the people famous that put them on there, famous — and by the way, Joe, you know that this problem has grown and grown and grown," McCain added. "There's a sharp difference, a total difference between myself and President Bush on the issue of pork barrel and earmarks and out-of-control spending and the growth of government without paying for it. Don't forget that part."

Benevolance, I understand your frustration.  But thats hardly a good viewpoint either, its like saying I would rather have my left arm removed than having both arms removed.  No one likes the executives getting rich on this.  I don't like any bailouts, but I would be more agreeable to a trickle up bailout than a trickle down.

My favorite part of the debate was when she called him senator O'biden twice.  I was hoping he might call her O'palin but he didn't.  Anyone else catch that?

I did not say I liked the idea of homebuyers getting off free and clear... But if there is going to be a bailout...I want it to be average regular hardworking taxpaying americans....Not the wealthy investors from other countries.

What I would prefer is to just ride out this storm let the market correct itself and then abolish the fed... I am not going to get my wish and it may never happen long after I am cold in the ground....

But if the goverment is going to step in and help... they need to help regular americans...Not the wealthy elite..

Bang on Stink! But that not only doesn't seem to bother some folks; they actually look forward to it!
