What is the full process of building a home? And a list of other questions.

Is it cheaper to build a home than to buy a home in this market?

Do I have to own a lot first? I was on YouTube and someone said that they used a home builder they had their own lots that you can use for construction.

Overall I just want to know. Like the types of loans, how does it all start as far as getting land if I even have too, how is it working with home builders vs getting plans and getting people in construction?

Lol I'm just so lost on this and I can't find clear answers obviously there might be a lot to talk about with this so if you guys have any helpful links about this too I'd appreciate it!
