Fighting Real ID

The other notable bill of mine that the Governor approved today was SB 1431, my bill that blocks Virginia from complying with Real ID provisions that would compromise any Virginian's economic or private data (e.g., fingerprints).

This is part of fighting back against an over-reaching federal government. We still have lots more to do in this regard...

Also, a key part of my original bill was included as an amendment to - of all people - Sen. Yvonne Miller's SB 1046. That provision flat out illegalizes the use of computer chips and RFID chips in Virginia drivers licenses and identification cards.

These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

StinkerBell

I do not like RFID Chips, they are dangerous for a persons privacy on so many levels.

Sassy

Good for Virginia!  Yeah for Cuccinelli!  Sounds like you have some sensible politicians in your state.  I like the "Choose Life" license plate idea...  and am totally against RFID in our drivers license or embedded in our bodies!
