Is it cheaper to build in multiples of 8' or 4'?  And is it possible to seal and/or cover wafer board so that it doesn't out-gas?  Does wafer board out-gas for a time, or for the life of the building?  Thanks.

Building in a 2' module saves some on cutting but it is not particularly significant.

This on out gassing from a SIP manufacturer:

What about formaldehyde out gassing from the waferboard?

Exterior grade waferboard, such as that used in OSB exterior wall panels, is made with phenol-based resins that do not release significant amounts of formaldehyde gas. Urea formaldehyde resins, on the other hand, which are used in interior grade particle board products, release far more formaldehyde gas, and it is these products — not waferboard — that have heightened concerns over formaldehyde in houses. The Federal Government requires that warnings be put on products that may release formaldehyde.

Any material rated for exterior use such as CDX plywood, will have little or no formaldehyde to outgas (this is the one to watch out for in construction materials).
None of us are as smart as all of us.
