Thanks for the details on the penny floor.  I wonder if some thin-set atop the cement board would allow the glue to hold better.

The instruction with the weld bond has you coat the floor with  watered down weld bond. I only did one coat. I wonder if more coats would have helped. Don't get me wrong, no pennies have come off and i don't expect one to. But I wonder if I dropped something hard and heavy if one would pop off.
