HELP !

We started hanging our floor joist hangers this A.M. and we've got a liitle problem.

The sills are rough sawn and when we set the hangers on the sill and place a joist  in the hanger the joist is about 1/16 or less ( too low ) from being level with the sill.

This is not a problem with all of the hangers and joist ...... just a couple.

We are only using a couple of joist as we go along to check our work for accuracy.
We will place all of the joist after we finish with the hangers.

Do we need to go back and correct this problem  OR is not enough of a differnce to worry about?

Open to advise!

Can you shim the offending joists up a bit by driving wedges between the bottom of the joist and the hanger?

John,

Once again you turned on a light in my brain cavity.

I had not thought of that as a fix......yes, it is possible.....I think.

I'll go tell DH right now.

THANKS!
