I don't know if this has come up before or not so here goes.  A very good resource is:

Check out the garden watchdog before ordering from mail order sources.  There has been a big change over the last few years with old standby sellers being bought out, and the quality going downhill rapidly,  Used to be you could count on some of the old favorites (Like Parks) but not anymore.
The problem with foolproof devices is that they fail to take into account the ingenuity of fools

3rd year for my small gardens and 2nd for big one so I'll till again to get more nutrients in the soil.  We're in a sandy area that drains the nurtients out pretty fast.  Last year I didn't get enough calcium in the soil and ended up with blossom end rot on my peppers :(

This year I'll till in bonemeal and more manure and peat moss and by then it should be good.  I'm expecting a better harvest this year but mostly becuase I think I'm getting the hang of it now :) ;)
