The Foam Deer. I snuck right up close on this unusual 2-legged specimen

These juvenile bulls were acting like... well juvenile boys of many species.



They were butting heads, pushing and shoving at each other in the morning when we passed by and in darn near the same spot 12 hours later in the evening.

This next one is not all that unusual for the jemez. The Forest Service does lease out grazing rights. Lots of yougins around. (sorry Chris, I couldn't help myself)  ;D

Looks like the cows roam anywhere they want - you were pretty brave to sneak up on that foam deer!   ;D  Beautiful countryside  :)
