Cabin siding

I am looking for the name of the siding that resembles shiplap siding but is rough cut and shows the contours of the wood on the bottom.  In other words, it is not straight across on the bottom, it is kind of wavy.

Does anyone know what I am talking about?  Where could I find photos of this?

I love the rustic look of that.

Is there any drawbacks to this type of siding?

Here is a copy of the picture of rough sawn clapboard siding on page 3 of the underground cabin update in this forum.

Advantages:
No edge triming on boards
larger random sizes look good
goes up fast over normal vapor barrier -may be advantageous to space out a little on strips so moisture can drain from behind easily.
Clapboards drain similar to shingles

Disadvantage:
May get a crack horizontally but is usually small and can be fixed with clear caulking if natural look is desired.

May need to trim one edge straight with chalk line and skill saw or table saw for top or bottom piece.

2nd cuts off logs at the sawmill.  Every once in a while they're free.  

First cuts or slab cuts are likely to be free, but the bugs just love the bark.  At least in this part of the country.

2nd cuts have the advantage that you can cut off one long side so that you can match a couple of pieces on a building.
