I am asking for info for my hubby, so please bear with my terminology....
He wants information about where to get rod iron type brackets that will
hold the beam that runs from the top of the ceiling beam up to the ridge beam.
Does that make sense to anyone??

I think the lumber yard should have a Simpson bracket that will work.

Look through this list to find the right product. You will most likely want a hanger of a certain size and load capacity.

Thanks for the help Glenn and John.
I'll print out that info and send it to the hubby.
He doesn't have access to internet (as with most building sites).
Appreciate your help!!
