This is not a great picture but it is what it is.  This is from a gable roofed building that is a couple of decades old. The ridge has sagged. The kneewall is 18" tall. Sorry, no data on building width or anything else.



Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

New Mexico.  Better than regular Mexico.

Yes, regular rafters set on an 18" high kneewall and no real rafter ties.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
