US laying foundation for Iraq colonization

Washington drew out a draft proposal for a security deal in January 2008, a preliminary part of which was signed by officials of the two countries on March 17.

The negotiation, set to conclude in late July, will not only establish the basis for a long-term US occupation of Iraq, but will also turn the country into a US colony and yet another military base for Washington in the Middle East.

Maybe after it's a colony they'll put in a disneyland and people will have the chioce of vactioning in Bagdad. After they kill all the Iraqi...er...terrorists I mean.

If it was us over here fighting Iraqi's who invaded us here, we would be called Freedom Fighters.

geo-political-politics explained.  spend a few minutes letting this soak in, you might be surprised it single handedly explains nearly all US foreign policy in terms of who are the bad guys and who are not.  (for example, if we killed Sadam cuz he was a bad guy why did Castro get a free ride?  wasn't North Korea doing alot more saber rattling than Chavez ever did?)  Not sure if that is 100% accurate, but it certainly could be perceived as such to me at least.   

Anyway, we built 14 bases in iraq, were never leaving that place.  Even if we ended the war tomorrow, were going to have thousands of troops there as long as the underlying assets warrant it.  Or at the very least as long as ensuring those assets are under our control and influence.  Even the democrats running are not talking about closing the bases, just playing politics with wording.

You got that right, muldoon.  Republicrat and Demopub Congress critters are pretty well going to do the same any more as they all have fascism at heart.  They have all been bought and not by the people they are supposed to be servants of..
