I ran across this site yesterday and thouroughly enjoyed watching these fellows build their small (12'X24') log cabin in NE Mississippi.

The site is heavy on pictures and pretty light on details at this point, but maybe we can entice the builder to come share in the owner/builder forum . . .   :)

Wow, I love it! Completely rustic and old-fashioned; log joists, log rafters, (real) slab cabinets, no drywall, real chinking... You don't find cabins made like this too often anymore!
